What is Family Dispute Resolution (FDR)?
Family Dispute Resolution operates along similar lines to ADR.
At Frances Gray Mediating, we are fully trained and qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) who are registered with the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department.
At Frances Gray Mediating, we recognize that the aims of FDR are similar to those of ADR: understanding of your conflict, and coming to some mutually beneficial, productive agreements.
Typically you, our clients, are a divorcing or separating partners who are in conflict over your children, your property, or your family pets.
Given that children might be involved in your conflict, we place strong emphasis on working with you as parents, to help you to co-operate with each other in the best interests of your children.
Research has shown that children are much better off and that they thrive in a positive conflict–free environment.
We can help you to develop a Parenting Agreement which can become a Parenting Plan. Once signed, you may decide to have such an agreement lodged with the Family Court.
At Frances Gray Mediating, FDR is available for other family members with whom children have a meaningful relationship, such as grandparents, aunts and uncles.
